ALBANY, Bahamas – The Auburn women's golf team is getting set to begin its spring schedule at the Nexus Collegiate in Albany, Bahamas. The tournament, which is hosted by Auburn, will run from Monday through Wednesday at Albany Golf Course.

"The golf course is going to play difficult," said Auburn head coach Melissa Luellen. "They play a PGA Tour event there, the Hero World Golf Challenge, and the pros struggle with chipping around there so we've been spending some extra time around the greens. Fortunately, we have a very good ball-striking team, and our goal will be to hit greens."

The Tigers' team lineup has a couple of changes from their last tournament of the fall at the East Lake Cup. Freshman Katie Cranston, who arrived on the Plains in January, will be in the team lineup as well as redshirt freshman Carys Worby. Cranston and Worby will both be making their collegiate debut at the tournament.

Auburn's new lineup will still be anchored by senior Megan Schofill and junior Anna Foster. The Palmer Cup announced in December that Schofill was ranked eighth among American collegiate golfers, while the latest Golfstat rankings tabbed the Auburn senior as the 15th best collegiate golfer in the nation. Additionally, Golfweek/amateurgolf.com ranked Schofill 19th in the world among amateur golfers heading into the spring season.

The Monticello, Florida native's fall was highlighted by the third individual victory of her career at the Mason Rudolph Championship in September after firing a 207 (-9). In her 85 rounds played for the Tigers, Schofill currently holds the lowest career scoring average in school history with a 72.08.

Foster is right behind Schofill in team scoring average, as she holds a scoring average of 72.30. The Dublin, Ireland native also recorded the second lowest 18-hole score of the fall when she shot a 5-under 67 during round one of the Illini Women's Invitational.

Auburn's first tee times of the day will be around 7:00 a.m. CT (8:00 a.m. local time) at Albany Golf Club. The Tigers have also included three individuals in the event, so Auburn will have eight total players in the field.

Live scoring of the tournament will be available on Golfstat.com as well as the GolfStat mobile app.
