AUBURN, Ala. – The Auburn gymnastics team remains at No. 5 in this week's RoadToNationals.com rankings with a 197.446 average. The weekly rankings are based on the average of all scores so far this season.
The Tigers (4-4, 2-2 SEC) have been ranked inside the Top 10 for 20-straight weeks, dating back to Week 1 of the 2022 season.
Auburn earned a season-high 197.750 last Friday at home in a win against then-No. 9 LSU. The Tigers earned a season-best 49.500 on bars and a 49.650 on floor.
"Obviously still really happy to be ranked in the top 10," head coach Jeff Graba said. "Being ranked fifth puts us in a really good position at this point in the season. We are looking ahead to some difficult tests coming up as we have a couple of important road meets and one more big SEC match up at home before Senior Night. The NQS rankings will be kicking in soon, so every score is important."
This week's top teams have not changed much as Oklahoma continues to hold the top spot (198.038). Florida (197.838) and Michigan (197.792) are Nos. 2 and 3, while Utah remains fourth (197.679).
The rest of the Southeastern Conference is among the top 20 – LSU (No. 8), Alabama (No. 9), Kentucky (No. 11), Arkansas (No. 14), Missouri (No. 16) and Georgia (No. 19).
Auburn ranks fifth nationally on floor (49.438) and is sixth on vault (49.317) and beam (49.325). The team is seventh on bars (49.367).
Individually, sophomore Sunisa Lee is tied for first in the all-around with a 39.725 average. Following her second-straight 10.0 on bars, Lee jumped to the top of the list with a 9.962 mark. She is tied for third on beam (9.929) and tied for ninth on floor (9.925).
Fifth year Derrian Gobourne is tied for fourth nationally on floor with a 9.946 average. She hasn't scored below at 9.9 all season.
Lee, Gobourne and senior Cassie Stevens are all tied for 14th nationally on vault (9.892). Stevens is 18th in the all-around with a 39.446 average.
