AUBURN, Ala. – The Auburn gymnastics team comes in at No. 9 in this week's RoadToNationals.com NQS rankings, having a NQS of 197.460.
"We've got two meets left to get our NQS up before preseason starts," head coach Jeff Graba said. "It's time to dial in and focus on getting those last tenths in every routine."
The NQS rankings takes the top six scores, dropping the highest before adding the next five and finding the average. Three of the five scores added together must be on the road.
This week's top teams have not changed much as Oklahoma continues to hold the top spot (198.205). Florida (197.845) and Utah (197.805) are Nos. 2 and 3, while Michigan (197.715) and UCLA (197.655) are fourth and fifth.
The rest of the Southeastern Conference is among the top 20 – LSU (No. 6), Alabama (No. 8), Kentucky (No. 12), Missouri (No. 14), Arkansas (No. 17) and Georgia (No. 18).
Auburn ranks seventh on vault with a 49.320. The team is eight on bars (49.365) and floor (49.440) and 12th on beam (49.290).
Individually, sophomore Sunisa Lee is tied for first on bars with a 9.965 NQS. She is sixth in the all-around (39.655) and tied for 12th on vault (9.900) and beam (9.915).
Fifth year Derrian Gobourne is tied for seventh on floor with a 9.940 NQS.
Auburn's final road meet of the regular season is this Friday, March 3 as the Tigers travel to Kentucky for their last Southeastern Conference dual meet of the season. The two teams will face off at 6 p.m. CT and the meet will be streamed on SEC Network+.
