This week, Kasey Cooper will become the first softball player honored by the Southeastern Conference as an Auburn legend. At Auburn's first game of the SEC Women's Basketball Tournament in Greensville, South Carolina, Cooper will be honored at halftime with the likes of South Carolina's A'ja Wilson and former Texas A&M Head Women's Coach Gary Blair.
The former All-American and National Player of the Year was a key part of the Tigers' back-to-back trips to the College World Series. She anchored an Auburn infield that won back-to-back SEC Tournament championships.
This summer, Cooper will head to a residency in Milwaukee after graduating from the UAB Heersink School of Medicine. Ophthalmology represents her next four years with the Medical School of Wisconsin.
Kasey Cooper is featured in this Talking Tigers Podcast, brought to you by Alabama Public Health.
