AUBURN, Ala. – The 2023 postseason is just around the corner and Auburn equestrian would like to take this time to catch up with its 2023 senior class!
 
Up first is Lily Beatty! The Stuart, Florida product has been a key member throughout her four years on the Plains by providing support in the competition ring and behind the scenes.
 
The multiple SEC Academic Honor Roll honoree is majoring in neuroscience and plans on becoming a surgeon.
 
Q: How is this season different knowing it's your last year on the Plains?
A: Knowing that this is my last season on the team has made me cherish my teammates and the limited time left and really try to make this my best year. I've been trying to take it all in before the end of the season."
 
Q: How has your experience prepared you for life beyond college?
A: "Being a part of the team has taught me so much that will help me in my career. It has taught me how to work hard with a team, taught me valuable time management skills and good leadership skills."
 
Q: What would you like to say to the fans and the rest of the Auburn Family?
A: "I would like to thank the fans and the Auburn Family for the their incredible support over the years. We couldn't do it without the fans, and I thank you for allowing me to be a part of such an amazing Auburn Family."
 
Q: If you had one piece of advice to give your younger self, what would it be?
A: "I would tell myself to never give up on my goals and to keep working hard. I would also tell myself to not rush my time in college and really cherish it because four years goes by so fast."
 
Q: What is your major and what is the next step for you after Auburn?
A: "I am a neuroscience pre-med major and I will be going to medical school! My goals of being a neurosurgeon haven't changed since freshman year."
 
Q: What is your favorite Auburn tradition and why?
A: "My favorite Auburn tradition has to be rolling Toomer's Corner. It is such a fun tradition and something I looked forward to every football season."
 
Q: Who is/was your favorite horse at Auburn and why?
A: "I don't think I have a favorite horse at Auburn, but I have ridden Swap and Encore a lot this year and really like them. They are both so cute and so much fun to ride."
 
Q: Best Greg Williams quote?
A: "Coach Williams has a lot of good quotes, but I think the one that has stuck with me the most over the years is never be outworked."
