AUBURN, Ala. – Renewing a rivalry that dates back to 1897, No. 18 Auburn (12-3-1) hosts Georgia Tech (13-3) Tuesday for the first of two home-and-home matchups this season.

First pitch at Plainsman Park is set for 6 p.m. CT, and Tiger Terrace tickets for the game remain available at aubtix.com.
 
"Hopefully we've played at a standard and we put this team together and keep going," head coach Butch Thompson said. "That's why we've been so big on these tenets. It's not who you play but how you play. There's only one standard to play, and that's as good as we can play."
 
Tuesday's contest will air nationally on SEC Network as one of Auburn's eight national broadcasts. It will also be broadcast on the Auburn Sports Network and can be heard locally on 93.9 FM.

Auburn is coming off a span of playing nine games in 11 days from Mar. 1-11, including five games in five days last week.
 
The team's seven straight wins to start the stretch were the most since winning 15 straight in 2019.
 
Starting pitchers posted a 1.59 ERA with 25 strikeouts and eight walks in 22.2 innings last week.
 
Tommy Vail hasn't allowed hit in 9.2 innings pitched as a starter. He is the NCAA active career leader in hits allowed per 9.0 innings pitched (4.94).

Kason Howell is the NCAA active leader with 56 career doubles.
 
The Tigers have double digit hits in nine games this season and are 8-0-1 in those contests.
 
The team is 11-0 when outhitting the opponent this season.
 
Saturday marked just the fifth time in the last two seasons Auburn has lost back-to-back games.
 
The Tigers haven't lost three straight games since Apr. 9-11, 2021.
 
In a series that dates back to 1897, Auburn holds a 122-112-6 advantage all-time against Georgia Tech, including a 65-46-2 record against the Yellow Jackets at Plainsman Park.
 SCOUTING THE YELLOW JACKETS 
Georgia Tech enters the week with a 13-3 overall record and 2-1 mark in ACC play after taking two of three games against Notre Dame last weekend.
 
The Yellow Jackets are hitting .303 as a team and rank 20th in the country in scoring (9.6 runs per game).
 
Redshirt sophomore Jackson Finley leads the team in average (.452), home runs (seven) and RBI (20).
 
Georgia Tech has turned in a 6.45 staff ERA, ranking last in the ACC, with 166 strikeouts in 141.0 innings pitched.
