AUBURN, Ala. – For the third-straight week, a member of the Auburn men's golf team has earned honors from the Southeastern Conference as Reed Lotter has been named SEC Freshman of the Week, as announced by the league office Wednesday.
The honor is the second of Lotter's career and the sixth for the Tigers this season. Lotter also becomes the first Auburn rookie to receive the recognition on multiple occasions since teammate J.M. Butler in 2021.
Earlier in the week, at the General Hackler Championship, Lotter shot 68-72-72 for a 14th-place finish and a 212 (-4) scorecard. Four tournaments into his collegiate career, Lotter has yet to finish outside the top 15 and has carded nine consecutive rounds at par or better, including five in the 60s.
Additionally, after carding his seventh overall round in the 60s in the opening 18 of the Hackler, Lotter climbs into seventh in school history for freshman rounds in the 60s, trailing Brandon Mancheno's record of 11 rounds set during the 2017-18 campaign.
Lotter and the No. 6-ranked Tigers will return to action early next month, April 3-4, at the Mossy Oak Collegiate in West Point, Mississippi.
