Auburn Tiger Paws dance team captain, Mary Hanlon Hunton, was selected as a member of the 2023 E. Lynn Harris All-SEC Spirit Team.
The All-SEC Spirit Team was recognized at the 2023 Women's SEC Basketball Tournament in Greenville, South Carolina and at the 2023 Men's SEC Basketball Tournament in Nashville, Tennessee. The team is comprised of a representative from each of the SEC schools in honor of former Arkansas cheerleader and long-time volunteer coach E. Lynn Harris. Selections to the E. Lynn Harris All-SEC Spirit Team recognize spirit squad members for their academic success, philanthropic dedication and overall representation of their university.
Hunton is a senior from Birmingham, Alabama, who is majoring in Nursing. She is the daughter of Kevin and Kim Hunton and is in her fourth year as an Auburn Tiger Paw. In addition to being a Tiger Paw, she is also an Auburn University student recruiter.
"Mary Hanlon has done an amazing job as captain of the Tiger Paws," said Latisha Durroh, Director of Community Relations and Spirit with AU Athletics. "We've been honored to have her as a member of the Tiger Paws for the last four years. Not only is she a great leader and role model but she is an excellent student, balancing nursing school with being our captain, while also being a student recruiter for Auburn."
