ATHENS, Ga. – Auburn women's golf is set to play in the Liz Murphey Collegiate Classic hosted by the University of Georgia in Athens. The tournament will take place on Friday, Saturday and Sunday at the UGA Golf Course.

"The course is really hilly," Auburn head coach Melissa Luellen said about the UGA Golf Course. "There will be a lot of uneven lies and lies with the ball below your feet to an elevated green. A lot of very awkward shots so you have to have all phases of your golf game in order to play really well there."

As a team, Auburn has posted a top five finish in each of their last six tournaments including a third-place finish in its last event at the Darius Rucker Intercollegiate. For the season, the Tigers now have a head-to-head record of 45-23 as well as a winning record among Southeastern Conference opponents at 17-12. Auburn's team ranking has moved up to 10th in the nation according to both GolfStat and WGCA thanks to their impressive play.

Auburn senior Megan Schofill will look to continue her momentum from the Tigers' last tournament at the Darius Rucker Intercollegiate where she posted a top-15 individual finish. The Monticello, Florida native enters this weekend with a team best 71.50 scoring average for the season and 64 birdies, which is tied for the most on the Auburn team.
