AUBURN, Ala. — Auburn soccer capped its three-game exhibition homestand with a 6-0 victory against Mercer Saturday at the Auburn Soccer Complex.

Redshirt junior Marissa Arias recorded a brace to lead the scoring as five different Tigers found the back of the net. Senior Sydney Richards got the offensive onslaught started in the 19th minute, netting a penalty kick. Arias followed in the 25th to double the lead. 11 minutes later, sophomore Carly Thatcher found her third goal of the spring slate to push the Auburn tally to three. Freshman Helene Tyburczy capitalized on the next opportunity in the 44th minute and was followed by another Arias dime in the 62nd. Junior Olivia Candelino scored the sixth and final goal for the Tigers in the 78th minute.

Junior Maddie Prohaska remained in-goal for all 90 minutes of the contest, making two saves on a pair of shots faced while the Orange & Blue attack proved to be too powerful as the Tigers created 20 shots, placing 13 on goal.

Auburn continues its spring exhibition schedule Saturday, April 15, at 1 p.m. CT as the team will trek to Atlanta to battle with Tennessee.
