BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – For the third time of the spring season, Reed Lotter has been named the Southeastern Conference Freshman Golfer of the Week, as announced by the league office Wednesday.

The award marks the eighth time the Tigers have been recognized this year. Lotter joins teammate J.M. Butler as the only two men in school history to capture conference weekly honors three times as a rookie.

At the Lewis Chitengwa Memorial, Lotter shot 70-70-70 for a 3-under 213, finishing tied for the team lead in 15th place. 18 rounds into his Auburn career, the Savannah, Georgia native has yet to finish outside the top 20 in any event. After making his collegiate debut less than two months ago, Lotter already stands fifth in school history for freshman subpar rounds with 12.

Lotter returns to his home state alongside the No. 9 Tigers for the 2023 SEC Championship, April 19-23, at Seaside Golf Club on Sea Island, Georgia.
