 AUBURN, Ala. – Wrapping up a stretch of five straight home games since last week, Auburn (23-16-1) hosts Troy (28-13) Tuesday at 6 p.m. CT at Plainsman Park.

"These Tuesday games are ultra important, but at the same time we can't sacrifice the arms to be fresh for what we know is on deck," head coach Butch Thompson said. "We'll have our work cut out for us."
 
The game will be broadcast on the Auburn Sports Network and can be heard locally on 93.9 FM. It will also be streamed digitally on SEC Network+.

Auburn is 8-2 in midweek games this season, including 5-0 in midweek games at home.
 
The team's two midweek loses both came in walk-off fashion on the road.
 
The Tigers are hitting .345 and scoring 9.9 runs per game in the midweek.
 
The team is 18-7-1 at home this season and has won 31 of its last 41 home games since the middle of last year (31-9-1; .768).
 
All three games vs. Mississippi State were decided by one run. The Tigers are 8-3 in one-run games this season.
 
Sunday's seven-run comeback win marked the largest come-from-behind win in SEC play since 2010 and was the team's fourth walk-off win this season.
 
Cooper McMurray homered in four straight games and totaled five home runs last week en route to being named the SEC Player of the Week.
 
McMurray led the league in home runs and total bases (20), while tying for the league lead in runs (seven) and RBI (nine) for the week.
 
Auburn is 58-23 all-time against Troy, including 36-9 against the Trojans at home.
 SCOUTING THE TROJANS 
Troy enters the week with a 28-13 overall record and 10-8 mark in Sun Belt play, coming in ranked No. 33 in the RPI.
 
The Trojans have won three straight weekend series and are 8-3 overall since Apr. 6.
 
Offensively, Troy is hitting .290 as a team and ranks 11th in the country with 74 home runs. Junior outfielder Shane Lewis leads the way with a .326 average to go along with 18 homers and 61 RBI, both good for the sixth most in the country this season.
 
On the mound, the Trojans have turned in a 5.57 staff ERA with 436 strikeouts in 355.2 innings, good for the 10th best strikeout rate in the country.
