Alumni Spotlight: Taylor Krippner

It's the offseason and we're bringing back our Alumni Spotlights! Today's feature is Taylor Krippner!
 
The Texas native was a major contributor for the Tigers on three events throughout her career, putting up big scores on vault, bars and beam. She earned SEC All-Freshman honors in 2016 for her performance on beam at the conference meet and won five event titles between bars and beam.
 
A member of the 2016 team that won its first NCAA Regional title, Taylor is now a successful professional in sports nutrition. She has recently opened up her own business, The Gymnastics Dietitian.

What was your major at Auburn?
"I majored in Nutrition and Dietetics."
 
What is your current occupation?
"I am a business owner, running The Gymnastics Dietitian. I work with gymnasts and their parents to teach them how to fuel for optimal health and performance, while building a positive relationship with food and body image."
 
Why did you choose your profession?
"I want to be the nutrition coach for young girls that I wish my parent and I had growing up in this sport. I made changes to my dietary habits as I got older and realized the impact it had on my performance and overall health."
 
How did Auburn prepare you to be successful away from the Plains?
"Auburn gave me the resources and confidence I needed to be able to start my own business and run with it."
 
What advice do you have for current and future gymnasts?
"I would encourage them to embrace every second and fuel their body!"
 
What was your favorite moment or memory from your time on the team?
"My favorite memory is breaking the streak against Alabama. We beat them at home my freshman year for the first time in forever."
