Ike Irish – Fr. – DH – Hudsonville, Mich.

  • Led the league with 10 RBI and tied for the league lead with 18 total bases.
  • Five of his nine hits were for extra bases, including three doubles and two homers.
  • Collected multiple hits in three of four games, starting the week by matching a season high with four hits and driving in a season high five runs Tuesday vs. North Alabama.
  • Homered in back-to-back games against the Lions and in the series opener at Florida, marking his third homer in a span of four games.
  • Drove in four runs in his first two at-bats in Gainesville, hitting a two-run homer in the first inning and two-run ground-rule double in the second, to lead Auburn to the series-opening win.

  • Reached base 12 times in 20 plate appearances last week – four hits and eight walks – and three of his four hits were for extra bases.
  • Hit his third homer of the season to get Auburn's scoring started in the series finale at Florida.

Bobby Peirce – R-Sr. – OF – Scottsdale, Ariz.

  • Started in left field for the first time since Feb. 26 last Tuesday vs. North Alabama and scored a season high three runs.

  • Collected multiple hits in all three games at Florida, leading the team with six hits and a .462 average during the weekend.
  • Hit his second homer of the season to give Auburn a 3-2 lead in the third inning of the middle game against the Gators.
  • Reached base a season high four times in the contest.

  • Ranks second in the league with six homers during SEC play, tied for second with 32 total bases, fourth with a .865 slugging percentage and fifth with 15 RBI.

  • Earned his first SEC win by holding the nation's ninth-highest scoring offense scoreless for 4.0 innings in relief in the series opener at Florida.
  • Induced a double play against the first batter he faced to erase an inherited runner and ultimately allowed just four baserunners in his outing.
  • His 4.0 innings matched a season high and his four strikeouts were one shy of his high mark.

Will Cannon – So. – RHP – Phenix City, Ala.

0-0, 2.25 ERA, 1 GS, 4.0 IP, 5 H, 1 R/ER, 3 BB, 2 K

  • Made his first start in an Auburn uniform in the series opener at Florida and held the nation's ninth-highest scoring offense entering the weekend to a season low one run.
  • Struck out Florida's two-hole hitter to strand the bases loaded and preserve a seven-run lead in the fourth inning of the series opener.
  • Leads the team with a 1.54 ERA in SEC play – two earned runs in 11.2 innings pitched.

 

TEAM NOTES
Auburn outscored the opponent 24-2 in the first two games of the week … the Tigers' 14 runs in the seven innings against North Alabama were the second most in a game this season … seven of the 13 hits in the contests were for extra bases – four doubles and three homers … the teams' nine-run win in the series opener at No. 2 Florida was the team's largest margin of victory in a road SEC game since defeating Alabama 20-5 on Apr. 21, 2018 … it was the first time Florida lost a game with ace Brandon Sproat on the mound since Apr. 23, 2022 … it also marked the fewest runs the Gators scored this season and the third most runs they had allowed … the Tigers homered six times in the three-game series at Florida, tied with the USC series for the most homers in a weekend this season … the team has homered in eight straight games, including multiple homers on five occasions during the span … Auburn's three homers in the series finale marked the fourth game with three homers this season, including its second during the week.
