AUBURN, Ala. – Through the PNC Achievers program, 12 Auburn student-athletes have been recognized as part of the 2023 Spring Watch List based on their well-rounded achievement through leadership, academic success, community engagement and in competition.
The Watch List representatives are: Anastasia Astakhova (women's tennis), Maddy Bondon (soccer), Dylan Cardwell (men's basketball), Sophia Groth (gymnastics), Anna Haddock (soccer), Madi Malone (women's track & field), Conner Pruitt (men's swim & dive), Hallie Rush (equestrian), Carter Sobera (men's basketball), Valerie Tarazi (women's swim & dive), Grady Wheeler (men's swim & dive) and Jaylin Williams (men's basketball).
"With their demonstrated commitment to excellence in athletics, academics and community service, these PNC Achievers honorees epitomize Auburn being Auburn," Athletics Director John Cohen said. "Through our AuburnYOU life skills program, we continually strive for ways to develop and prepare student-athletes in all areas, building on the foundation their families have instilled in them."
An Auburn Athletics staff panel selects student-athletes who have distinguished themselves in the areas of academic achievement, community service and student leadership.
The panel will evaluate the 12 student-athletes who made the Watch List and trim the list to six semifinalists before naming one male and one female as Auburn's Spring 2023 PNC Achievers. The two winners will be recognized at an in-game ceremony.
Adeline Sabados (gymnastics) and David Edmondson (men's track & field) were the Auburn recipients of the Fall 2022 PNC Achievers award.
