  • Tied for the league lead in hits and total bases (17) and led the team in average for the week and in the series at South Carolina (.400).
  • Started the week with his second game this season with four or more hits and threw out a pair of runners from left field at third and home in the midweek vs. Troy.
  • Collected multiple hits in all three games in the series win at South Carolina and has multiple hits in five straight games and six of the last eight, hitting .472 (17-for-36) during the span.
  • Homered in back-to-back games in the final two games vs. the Gamecocks.
  • His home run Saturday capped off six runs in the first two innings and his home run Sunday made it a one-run game in the ninth inning.

  • Became the first Auburn player with three multi-homer SEC games since 2010.
  • Homered seven times and drove in 16 runs in a seven-game span from Apr. 18-29.

  • Earned his second SEC win in his last three starts as Auburn held South Carolina to three or fewer runs for just the second time in league play in the series opener.
  • Struck out seven Gamecocks hitters, marking his team-best fourth game this season with seven or more strikeouts, including his second straight.
  • Has posted a 1.08 ERA in his last three starts with 21 strikeouts in 16.2 innings pitched.

Konner Copeland – Sr. – LHP – Mobile, Ala.

  • After not making the travel roster three weeks ago, earned his second straight SEC decision in the decisive game of a SEC series, this weekend in game two against the Gamecocks.
  • Threw 36 of his 56 pitches for strikes and didn't walk a batter for the second straight outing (8.1 innings pitched).
  • Allowed just two batters to reach on a hit batter and home run and retired the last seven batters he faced after allowing the two-run homer in the seventh.

 

TEAM NOTES
