SAN ANTONIO, Texas – Auburn's season came to a close after the final round of the NCAA San Antonio Regional on Wednesday. Auburn shot 11-over (299) in the third round for a 54-hole score of 893 (+29) which led to a sixth-place team finish.
Senior Megan Schofill finished the tournament by firing a final round 76 (+4). Schofill's three-round total of 5-over 221 landed her in a tie for 16th. The 2023 first-team All-SEC selection finished the season with a 71.67 season scoring average, which ranks second all-time in program history (minimum 24 rounds). She continues to hold the lowest career scoring average in the Auburn record books at 72.14 (minimum 60 rounds).
Redshirt freshman Casey Weidenfeld finished the tournament in a tie for 25th with a 77 (+5) on Wednesday for a 54-hole total of 224 (+8). The SEC All-Freshman honoree finished the season with seven rounds under par and third on the team in scoring average.
Katie Cranston and Anna Foster each finished the tournament at 11-over 227 and in a tie for 37th on the leaderboard. Cranston tied for Auburn's best round of the day with a 2-over 74. Foster, who recorded three birdies on Wednesday, shot a final round 75 (+3).
Elina Sinz carded her best round of the tournament in her final round with a 2-over 74. Her three-day total of 229 (+13) led to a 43rd place finish individually.
The Tigers finish the 2022-23 season with two team tournament victories, two individual tournament victories and with the 28th NCAA Tournament appearance in program history.
