AUBURN, Ala.- Three players from Auburn men's and women's tennis have been named Academic-All District, the College Sports Communicators announced on Tuesday.

Adeline Flach from women's tennis as well as Jan Galka and Finn Murgett from men's tennis each received the honor and earned a bid to the CSC Academic All-American ballot. This is the first time being named to the CSC Academic All-District team for all three players.

Junior Adeline Flach currently holds a 21-21 singles record and a 13-11 dual singles record this season for the Tigers. The Alpharetta, Georgia native also has a 12-9 dual doubles record this season, primarily at the No. 2 spot in the doubles lineup with partner Angella Okutoyi. The junior recently earned the match clinching victory against No. 15 Miami to send Auburn to the round of 16 in the NCAA Championships.

Flach, an Environmental Science major, was a member of the SEC Academic Honor Roll in 2022 as well as the SEC First-Year Academic Honor Roll following her freshman season in 2021.

Auburn senior Jan Galka finished his final season with a 13-18 overall singles record and a 8-11 dual singles record. Galka also had a 21-12 doubles record and was 13-9 in dual matches alongside partner Billy Blaydes.

In 2022, Galka was named to the SEC academic honor roll, AD Honor Roll, an ITA Scholar-Athlete and Chi Alpha Sigma national student-athlete Honor Society. After his first season on the Plains in 2021, Galka was a SEC first-year Academic Honor Roll and ITA Scholar-Athlete honoree.

Galka graduated this spring as a double major in Business Management and Supply Chain Management with a minor in Organizational Leadership from the Harbert College of Business.

Senior Finn Murgett posted an 18-12 overall singles record in 2023 and was 11-7 in dual matches. He and partner Raul Dobai are currently the 17th ranked doubles team in the nation. Murgett and Dobai, who have qualified to participate in the 2023 NCAA doubles championship later this month, posted an 11-8 record at the top of the Auburn doubles lineup this season.

Murgett, a Business Administration major, was a member of the SEC Academic Honor Roll, Athletic Director Honor Roll and Chi Alpha Sigma National Student-Athlete Honor Society in 2022. The senior also was named to the SEC first-year Academic Honor Roll and an ITA Scholar-Athlete in 2021.

For a student-athlete to be considered for the All-District team, they must have a cumulative GPA of 3.50 or higher, participated in the singles and/or doubles lineups of at least half of the team's contests and be at the institution at least 12 months.

Tennis had two Academic All-District representatives in 2022, as Tad Maclean from men's tennis and Yu Chen from women's tennis each received the honor last season.
