BIRMINGHAM, Ala. — Auburn soccer players Anna Haddock, Madeline Moore, Maddie Prohaska and Sydney Richards have been named to the Southeastern Conference's Preseason Watch List, the league office announced Tuesday.
Haddock and Prohaska make their third consecutive appearance on the watch list while Richards earns her second after receiving the nod a season ago. Moore appears on the list for the first time.
Collectively, the group has played in 228 career matches, starting 227 of them. Pacing the offense in their tenures, Haddock and Richards have combined for 31 assists and 31 goals, 11 of which came as game-winners. Prohaska and Moore have proved to be defensive stalwarts as last season, the duo captained the back line that accounted for a 0.72 goals against average, the second-best mark in Auburn history.
A total of 72 student-athletes were named to this year's watch list. The complete list can be found at secsports.com/clubhouse/soccer.
Auburn opens its season at home against Samford Thursday, Aug. 17, at 6:30 p.m. CT. The first 200 fans to arrive at the match will receive a Karen Hoppa mini-jersey collectible.
