AUBURN, Ala. – Eleven members of the Auburn gymnastics team were named to the Women's Collegiate Gymnastics Association (WCGA) Scholastic All-America team for the 2022-23 school year, the organization announced Thursday.
Tigers earning academic recognition include Aria Brusch, Sophia Groth, Hannah Hagle, Olivia Hollingsworth, Hailey John, Caroline Leonard, Morgan Leigh Oldham, Adeline Sabados, Payton Smith, Cassie Stevens and Anna Sumner.
The honor is the fourth for Brusch, Sabados and Stevens. Groth joins Brusch and Stevens with a perfect 4.0 grade-point average.
Brusch and Stevens were named CSC Academic All-Americans earlier this summer for their efforts in the classroom. Hollingsworth earned CSC Academic All-District.
Hagle and John were first-time academic honorees.
