AUBURN, Ala. – Auburn women's tennis head coach Caroline Lilley announced the team's 2023 fall tournament schedule on Monday. The Tigers will host the Auburn Invite at the Yarbrough Tennis Center to cap off the fall slate in November.
Auburn will be visiting three events hosted by North Carolina, Furman and NC State to kickoff the fall in September. The team will also visit the Roberta Alison Fall Classic hosted by Alabama. The Tigers will also have representatives in three ITA fall events this season. The ITA All-American Championships, ITA Southern Regionals and ITA Fall Nationals are each featured on the schedule.
The fall schedule will wrap up at the Auburn Invite on November 3-5. The event will be the first fall event the women's tennis program has hosted since the Marliss Gruver Fall Invitational in 2019.
Auburn's roster this season looks very familiar to the one that posted 20 wins a season ago. Among the returners are three ITA Singles All-American recipients: graduate student Selin Ovunc, fifth-year senior Carolyn Ansari and senior Ariana Arseneault. The only addition to the roster this season is freshman Ava Esposito Cogan, who was rated as a five-star recruit by Tennis Recruiting and as the highest rated recruit in the state of Connecticut for the class of 2023.
