OKLAHOMA CITY, Okla.  –  After a successful season on the course and in the classroom, Auburn men's golfers Carson Bacha, Evan Vo and Alex Vogelsong have earned All-American Scholar Status, as announced by the Golf Coaches Association Tuesday.

To be eligible for an All-American Scholar nomination, an individual must meet the sophomore classification both academically and athletically in NCAA Division I, II, III and NAIA or NJCAA. In addition, the student-athlete must participate in 50 percent of their team's competitive rounds, have a stroke average under 76.0 (DI), and maintain a minimum cumulative career grade-point average of 3.20. A recipient must also be of high moral character and be in good standing at his college or university.

Vogelsong earns All-American Scholar status for a second consecutive season while Bacha and Vo are bestowed with the honor for the first time in their respective careers. The Tigers have now produced 24 All-American Scholars in 14 seasons under head coach Nick Clinard.

For the 2022-23 season, Bacha led the roster with a 3.56 GPA while also averaging 70.54 shots per round, the fourth-lowest single-season mark in the program's history. In his career, the York, Pennsylvania native boasts 10 top-20 finishes, 21 rounds below par and a 3.50 cumulative GPA while pursuing a degree in finance.

Two years into his Auburn career, Vo has amassed a 3.42 cumulative GPA while studying management. Before he saw his sophomore season cut short by injury, he recorded three top-20 outings and 10 rounds below par which contributed to a 70.17 scoring clip.

Vogelsong's back-to-back All-American Scholar campaigns were aided by a 3.20 GPA and a career-best 70.82 average. Heading into his fifth and final season on The Plains, the Palm City, Florida product owns 20 top-20 placements, 44 rounds below bar, a 71.50 stroke per round clip, which stands fourth in the Auburn record book, and a 3.29 cumulative GPA in interdisciplinary studies with focuses on entrepreneurship and psychology.

All of the men's golf Tigers will return to action Sept. 9-10 as they look to defend their title at the Maui Jim Intercollegiate in Cave creek, Arizona.
