Director, Analytics & Ticket Sales Strategy

Job Description

  • Auburn University Athletics is excited to begin the search for a Director of Analytics & Ticket Strategy! This individual will be responsible for managing the data collection and analysis for all external units within the Department of Athletics (Ticket Operations, Ticket Sales & Retention, Tigers Unlimited, & Digital Marketing & Social Media) for the purpose of forecasting ticket pricing and sales for all ticketed athletic events. Develops both the short and long-term operational sales and service strategies, ticketing, and revenue reports for Auburn’s six ticketed sports. Implements new initiatives to enhance the sales team’s effectiveness, while ensuring that the best sales leads are prioritized. This position is also responsible for managing all CRM tracking systems for Auburn’s Ticketing Offices.

Job Duties

  • Administers data analytical activities associated with data management platforms and ensures data systems are fully integrated across all platforms.
  • Responsible for all facets of Auburn’s customer relationship management (CRM) system including creating reports and dashboards, leading score & generation, controlling access to the system for those using it, researching best practices with the system from industry leaders, troubleshooting issues, and finding ways to maximize the system.
  • Develops standard, custom reports, and dashboards for senior-level administration to assist with campaign and activity tracking.
  • Leads educational sessions on CRM systems as part of the onboarding process for new ticket sales, operations, and development staff members.
  • Provides lead generation services to the ticket office and sales staff members and manages the data collection and analysis for the outbound sales team.
  • Leverages the data warehouse and enhances the view of the customer to build and deliver various predictive models in partnership with IT.
  • Works in conjunction with Ticket Operations, Marketing, and Tigers Unlimited in forecasting ticket revenue.
  • Provides recommendations on the pricing of season and individual tickets and inventory management by analyzing historical data, market trends, and various secondary market transaction data.
  • Works in conjunction with the sales team and marketing to analyze, develop, and implement new business initiatives to enhance effectiveness, ensure the best sales leads are focused on first, and reporting is accurate and relevant.
  • Develops and analyzes post-event surveys to address issues identified through the survey process that will enhance the overall fan experience.
  • Assists with gameday activities and box office customer service at Football & select sporting events.
  • Complies with all applicable National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) and Southeastern Conference (SEC) regulations in the performance of job duties.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree plus four years of experience in business operations, ticket sales, sales operations, data management, or customer relationship management (CRM) systems. OR Master’s degree plus two years of experience in business operations, ticket sales, sales operations, data management, or customer relationship management (CRM) systems.
  • Degree Public Relations, Business, Marketing, Communications, Sports Administration/ Management, is preferred.
  • Experience in intercollegiate or professional sports ticket sales or operations is desired.

Expectations

  • Knowledge of sales and customer service best practices, demonstrated track record of sales and relationship building, personnel management, CRM systems (Salesforce preferred), and ticketing and development software (Paciolan preferred).
  • Knowledge of customer relationship management (CRM) systems and ticketing & development software such as Paciolan (as well as their integrated partners).
  • Knowledge of data visualization tools such as Qlik, Tableau, and PowerBI.
  • Excellent communication skills both verbal and written, and attention to detail.

Assistant Director, Ticket Operations

Job Description

  • Auburn University Athletics is excited to begin the search for an Assistant Director of Ticket Operations!

    This individual will aid in managing and leading the athletic department’s ticketing operations (Football, Men’s & Women’s Basketball, Gymnastics, Baseball and Softball). Responsibilities include customer service, game-day operations, sport-specific ticketing operations, back-office ticketing software and technology management, and conflict resolution. This individual aids in the selection and training of all student interns. All operations must be completed in compliance with the Tigers Unlimited priority system, University Auditing, State, National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA), and Southeastern Conference (SEC) policies and procedures.

Job Duties

  • Aids in the day-to-day operation of the ticket office including daily customer service work, overall supervision of ticket office personnel, and gameday operations for all sports.
  • Responsible for assisting patrons on the phone, in person, as well as through email communications, including the general ticket office email account.
  • Serves as first line of supervision beyond part-time staff and student employees.
  • Manages all facets of ticket operations for select sport(s) including ticket allocation, seat changes, set- up, and ticket printing & delivery. Manages post-season ticket operations for select sport(s) and events.
  • Aids in the resolution of customer complaints or problems for donors, athletic coaches and staff, Auburn faculty and staff, alumni, public ticket purchasers, and other assorted groups.
  • Works in conjunction with Tigers Unlimited, Ticket Sales, Marketing, and Communications on ticket sales plans, strategy, and timelines.cket buyers and donors throughout the season while maintaining an account list of ticket holders to ensure high customer satisfaction and retention rates.
  • Aids in all reporting, requests, and Equerry reports regarding select sports.
  • Aids in the screening, hiring, and training of ticket office student interns.
  • Travels to select events to administer and distribute player, coach, and administrator tickets and will call.
  • Responsible for compliance with all state, University, National Collegiate Athletics Association (NCAA), and Southeastern Conference (SEC) rules regarding ticket sales and distribution.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 2 years of experience in ticketing operations or customer service.
  • Experience in intercollegiate or professional sports ticket sales or operations is desired.

Academic Strategist

Job Description

  • Auburn University Athletics is hiring an Academic Strategist to provide individual and/or small group academic support for student athletes, assisting them in transitioning to the University, developing their study skills, and fostering a learning relationship conducive to the development of the essential skills to become independent learners and achieve academic success.

Job Duties

  • Collects academic information (e.g., course syllabi, exam and assignment due dates, etc.) and facilitates the student’s preparation and planning related to course requirements
  • Prepares, plans, and develops the semester calendar, daily and weekly goals related to calendar deadlines, ongoing teaching and modeling of active learning strategies, documentation of grades, and verification the student has all necessary academic materials (books, supplies, etc.)
  • For students who have education impacting disabilities, the Strategist tracks and monitors the use of accommodations on a regular basis. All academic information is coordinated and shared with the Learning Specialist and the Academic Counselor
  • Models and teaches active learning strategies and provides support for the ongoing application of such skills within the context of each class. Collaborates with Academic Tutors to develop best practices related to the student’s learning style and any related learning challenges
  • Responsible for recording all activities through an on-line, standardized system as well as through regular communication with the Learning Specialist and Academic Counselor
  • Maintains and respects confidentiality related to the student-athlete, Student Athlete Support Services (SASS), and Auburn University Athletics, as well as maintains and upholds professional boundaries related to their work in SASS

Athletic Trainer (Track & Field)

Job Description

  • Auburn University Athletics is excited to begin the search for an Athletic Trainer to join the team! The individual in this position provides preventative and rehabilitative health care for student athletes. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: care, prevention, rehabilitation, and counseling of student-athletes; assists in other responsibilities as assigned by the Director of Sports Medicine; assists the Director in coordination and supervision of the sports medicine program at the university athletic department.

Job Duties

  • Supervises practices including preparing athletes for practices, workouts, and games.
  • Supervises the rehabilitation protocol of injured athletes as prescribed by the team physician and instructs the athlete in proper rehabilitation procedures.
  • Assists coaches with organizing and implementing conditioning programs for student athletes, as well as nutritional concerns.
  • Provides first aid and recovery healthcare to student athletes including assessing injuries treatment and referral to appropriate physician.
  • Assists with pre-season physical examinations and physical fitness screening.
  • Coordinates the day-to-day operations of athletic training room.
  • Assists with the compilation, input, organization, and maintenance of all student athlete medical records.
  • Performs administrative functions related providing health care for student athletes as needed.
  • Complies with all applicable National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) and Southeastern Conference (SEC) regulations in the performance of job duties.

Qualifications

  • Degree in Athletic Training, Exercise Science (with an emphasis in athletic training), or related which leads to athletic training certification
  • Level I Bachelor’s degree
  • Level II Bachelor’s degree plus 2 years of experience in preventing, assessing and treating athletic injuries.
  • Level III Bachelor’s degree plus 4 years of experience in preventing, assessing and treating athletic injuries.
  • Substitutions allowed for Experience: Graduate degrees accepted in lieu of experience for advanced levels, at a rate of one year relevant education per year of required experience.
  • Certification or Licensure Requirements: Must be certified by the National Trainers’ Association Board and eligible to be licensed in the State of Alabama by the Alabama Board of Athletic Training

Job Duties

  • Provides instruction to individual or small groups of students to improve academic performance, improve occupational skills, or prepare for academic or occupational tests.
  • Provides feedback to students using positive reinforcement techniques to encourage, motivate, or build confidence in students.
  • Teaches students study skills, note-taking skills, and test-taking strategies.
