AUBURN, Ala. – Six Auburn women's tennis players have earned an opportunity to play in the ITA All-American Championships, which begin over the weekend in Cary, North Carolina.
Prequalifying rounds will be played on Saturday and Sunday while qualifying rounds for both singles and doubles will take place on Monday and Tuesday. Once the full field is set for the main draw of the event, it will be played Wednesday through Sunday.
Ariana Arseneault and Carolyn Ansari have each earned spots in the singles main draw and the Auburn duo have also earned the opportunity to play in the doubles main draw as a doubles team. Arseneault and Ansari are ranked 20th and 22nd in singles, respectively, as well as 17th in the nation as a doubles team.
Adeline Flach and Ali DeSpain also picked up a spot in the doubles main draw by winning the ITA National Summer Championships in August. Flach will also begin singles play in the qualifying round.
DJ Bennett and Selin Ovunc will become doubles partners for the first time in the qualifying doubles round that begins on Monday. They will be the first Tigers to play in the event in the singles pre-qualifying rounds that begin on Saturday.
