AUBURN, Ala. – With the spring season set to open on Friday, the Auburn women's tennis team has been picked to finish fourth out of fourteen teams in the Southeastern Conference coaches' preseason poll, the league announced on Wednesday.
 
The preseason poll is voted on by the women's tennis head coach at each institution and is based on a 14-13-12-11-10-9-8-7-6-5-4-3-2-1 vote. The Tigers racked up 144 points in the poll, only behind Texas A&M, who was picked to win the conference, Georgia and Vanderbilt.
 
"We are excited about the opportunities ahead of us," Auburn head coach Caroline Lilley said about the preseason pick, "We are always chasing growth and pursuing incremental improvements with vigor. As we progress through our competitive schedule our foundation remains rooted in giving more than we take while buying into making those around us better."

The Tigers begin their spring slate on Friday, January 13th at the Duel in the Desert with Texas Tech, Kansas and Georgia in Indian Wells, California. Auburn's home opener will be at home against Iowa State on Friday, January 20th at noon CT.
