AUBURN, Ala. – Sophomore Caroline Fredenburg of the No. 2 Auburn equestrian team was named the SEC Horsemanship Co-Rider of the Month for September, the Southeastern Conference announced Thursday.
The conference honor is the first of Fredenburg's career.
The Straughn, Indiana product helped the Tigers kick off the season with a win over No. 9 UC Davis on September 23 at the Auburn University Equestrian Center. She scored a 77 on her ride, besting her opponent by 3.5 points and winning her first Most Outstanding Performer honor of the season.
With her help, the Auburn Horsemanship corps went 4-1 vs. the Aggies.
No. 2 Auburn travels to the state of Texas to face off with No. 7 Baylor on Friday, October 6. The two teams will go head-to-head at 10:30 a.m. CT in Waco.
