JACKSON, Tenn. - Auburn players had an impressive showing at the ITF 15K in Jackson, Tennessee, this week. the doubles team of Adeline Flach and Angella Okutoyi reached the finals in the doubles main draw while Carolyn Ansari qualified for the semifinal round in the singles main draw. Selin Ovunc also made it to the singles main draw through the qualifying rounds.

"We learned a lot during our time here in Jackson," Auburn head coach Caroline Lilley said after the event. "Perhaps too many moments where we played ourselves instead of just our opponents, but that maturing will take place on the practice court and through gaining additional experience. There were times of really great things, and other situations that we wish we had embraced better. In professional tennis there is one winner each week at a given tournament. One means you learn very quickly that the result doesn't dictate the success or the failure, the the journey requires a resilience rooted in perspective."

In the doubles main draw, Flach and Okutoyi defeated Alice Ferlito and Mara Schmidt 6-2, 6-4 in the opening round before defeating their teammates, Carolyn Ansari and Selin Ovunc, 7-6 (5), 6-3 in the quarterfinal round. The Tiger duo defeated Kristina Novak and Lara Smejkal 6-2, 6-4 in Friday's semifinal before falling in the finals to Chieh-Yu Hsu and Anita Sahdiiev.

Carolyn Ansari claimed three singles victories in the professional event over Anita Sahdiieva of Ukraine by a 6-3, 6-0 score, Kolie Allen of the United States 6-3, 5-7, 6-3 and Poland's Anna Hertel 7-5, 6-3 in the quarterfinal round. Ansari lost to Lucia Peyre in Saturday's semifinal round to finish the tournament.

Selin Ovunc picked up two singles victories in the qualifying rounds to qualify for the singles main draw. She defeated teammate Adeline Flach in the opening round and Mansi Vadyala of the United States in the second round.
