AUBURN, Ala.  — For the 22nd time in the last 23 seasons, Auburn soccer is headed to the SEC Tournament. The Tigers open this year's event with Tennessee Sunday, Oct. 29 at 3:30 p.m. CT on the SEC Network.

The Ashton Brosnaham Soccer Complex in Pensacola, Florida hosts every match of the 2023 tournament. The SEC Network provides full coverage from start to finish.

"We're here to make some great memories, but we're also here with something to prove," Auburn head coach Karen Hoppa said. "If we play our best game on both ends of the ball for the full 90, we can make a deep run here in Pensacola, and we can prove why we belong in the NCAA Tournament as well."

Over the course of the regular season, Auburn complied 12 points on a 3-4-3 SEC record to earn the No. 8 overall seed. The Tigers found wins against Missouri (3-2), Arkansas (2-1) and LSU (3-0).

Tennessee takes the No. 9 seed on a 3-4-3 record of its own. The Lady Vols triumphed over Florida (2-0), Missouri (3-2) and Vanderbilt (1-0).

When facing Tennessee at the conference tournament, the Tigers 2-3-1. Auburn has advanced in each of the previous three meetings. The last time both squads matched up was 2016. Auburn claimed a 3-1 victory. In 2012, the teams tied 0-0 following the conclusion of regulation and both overtime periods, however, Auburn found a 5-3 edge in a penalty shootout to move forward. The year prior, in 2011, the Tigers cruised past the Lady Vols 2-0 in the semifinals to earn a spot in the title match.

With a victory on Sunday, Auburn would cement its 19th win in SEC Tournament history. The Tigers are 18-26 at the event all-time. In 2011, Auburn defeated Florida 3-2 in the finale to claim its first tournament title in school history.

The winner of the Auburn-Tennessee match will face top-seeded Arkansas Tuesday, Oct. 31 at 5 p.m. CT. SEC soccer score updates and the full tournament bracket can be found at secsports.com/soccer.
