PENSACOLA, Fla.  — Auburn soccer's SEC Tournament run came to an end Tuesday night as the Tigers fell to Arkansas 4-0 at the Ashton Brosnaham Soccer Complex in Pensacola, Florida.

The fate of Auburn's season is in the hands of the NCAA Selection Committee. The 2023 NCAA Tournament Selection Show airs Monday, Nov. 6. Auburn currently stands 71st in the RPI.

"It was a tall task to take on the top seed with significantly less rest, but our girls battled hard for all of it" Tigers head coach Karen Hoppa said. "We had a few dangerous chances, and if we put those away, it's a totally different story. I'm proud of how we grew and finished down the stretch. I think our resume is a great candidate for the (NCAA) tournament."

Arkansas scored two in the first half and two in the second. The Razorbacks' goal-scorers were Morgan White (28'), Bea Franklin (34'), Anna Podojil (63') and Kate Carter (84').

Auburn mustered seven shots and placed two on frame. The Orange & Blue's chances were generated by redshirt senior Becky Contreras, junior LJ Knox, fifth year Sydney Richards and senior Maddie Simpson. Contreras and Knox were responsible for the two on-frame opportunities.

Knox and redshirt freshman Dylan Driver created the Tigers' pair of corner kicks.

Senior goalkeeper Maddie Prohaska saved six of Arkansas' chances. She has 67 saves on the season and 259 in her career. Knox, Simpson, senior Anna Haddock and sophomore Hayden Colson helped in the effort to fend off the opposing attack with shot blocks.

Contreras earned her first start as a Tiger and saw an Auburn-high 69 minutes. Junior Haley Duca played a career-high 31.
