Auburn Made: Week 9 NFL rundownAuburn Made: Week 9 NFL rundown

Chandler Wooten was Johnny-on-the-spot Sunday, making an athletic play to recover a muffed punt for the Carolina Panthers. It was his first NFL fumble recovery.

That and more in this week's Auburn Made NFL rundown.

BEST OF WEEK 9

Derrick Brown, DT, Carolina Panthers
Tallying four tackles and a quarterback hit, Brown had another productive week despite his team's loss to the Colts. The former top 10 draft pick now has an impressive 39 QB hits in four NFL seasons, including six in 2023. Brown also registered his second pass deflection of the season Sunday, and one of his four stops came on third-and-1 to force a punt.

Daniel Carlson, K, Las Vegas Raiders
The always-reliable Carlson did not miss a kick this week, scoring 12 of the Raiders' 30 points in a win over the New York Giants. He was 3 of 3 on field goals with a long of 41 yards in the fourth quarter. He also made all three extra points and is still 100 percent (14 for 14) on PATs this season. Carlson has 56 points through the team's first nine games.

Jonathan Jones, CB, New England Patriots
Making his fifth straight start at cornerback, Jones had a solid day with three solo tackles and a pass break-up against the Washington Commanders. It was the second straight week with a pass break-up. He was targeted three times in coverage and allowed just one catch for 26 yards. In six games this season, Jones has 19 tackles and three break-ups.

Chandler Wooten, LB, Carolina Panthers
Wooten has found his niche on special teams for Carolina and made a spectacular play Sunday, recovering a muffed punt against the Indianapolis Colts. When the returner mishandled the ball, Wooten was there to grab it in midair to give the Panthers the ball at midfield. He also added another tackle Sunday and now has eight tackles on the season.
