AUBURN, Ala. – Anna Davis, Anne Fernandez and Balma Davalos Guaita have officially signed national letters of intent to play at Auburn, head coach Melissa Luellen announced on Wednesday.

Davis, the sixth-ranked amateur in the world, already has an impressive amateur golf resume. The Spring Valley, California native most notably won the 2022 Augusta National Women's Amateur at the age of 16 and the 2021 Girls Junior PGA Championship.

"Anna Davis is the total package," said Luellen. "She will impact our team not only with low scores, but also with her highly-competitive nature. Anna loves to work hard and have fun while she is doing it. I expect to see her challenge the girls on the team and the men's team to chipping challenges frequently. Anna is really excited to start her college career and represent Auburn. Winning the 2022 Augusta National Women's Amatuer, Anna played in all the LPGA majors and held her own. Many were surprised that she chose to remain an amateur. She feels she has much to learn and didn't want to miss out on the college experience."

In 2023, Davis represented the United States in the World Amateur Team Championships, the Junior Ryder Cup and the Pan American Games. Davis has also twice been named a member of the Junior Solheim Cup Team and AJGA Rolex Junior All-America Teams.

Davis will join the Tigers in January of 2024 and her brother, Billy Davis, has signed to be a member of the Auburn men's golf team in August of 2024.

A native of Singapore, Anne Fernandez will arrive on the Plains in the fall of 2024. She is the winner of the 2022 Jimmy Self Invitational, the 2022 Annual Blade Junior and the 2022 AJGA Mizuno/Keith Mitchell Junior, and has also competed in the 2023 Ladies European Tour Aramco Team Series as well as the 2023 Ladies British Amateur Championship.

"Anne has been at the Albany Bahamas Golf Academy since she was 12 years old," said Luellen. "She has had wonderful instruction and has competed around the globe. At first glance, one would say ball striking is her strength, but her short game is very good as she has a variety of shots in her arsenal. She will absolutely love team golf as her personality is very positive. She is very determined to challenge herself at the collegiate level. We are so happy that Anne chose Auburn."

Joining Fernandez in the fall of 2024 is Balma Davalos Guaita from Castellon le la Plana, Spain. Davalos Guaita currently holds a European Golf ranking of No. 22 in her class. Davalos Guaita is the winner of both the 2022 Celia Barquain Championship as well as the 2023 Sergio Garcia Invitational. The Spanish Junior National Team member was also the runner-up at the Annika European Invitational and a quarterfinalist at the British Junior Girls Championship earlier this year.

"Balma is tall, athletic and a very strong ball striker," said Leullen. "Being from Spain, passion is part of her genetics. She loves to compete. She is at the prestigious LaBlume Academy in Madrid for top student-athletes, where she is doing great as a student and improving her golf skills and strength. Coach Kim Hall watched Balma shoot 68 in the final round at the German Girls Championship this summer, which solidified that we were thrilled to have Balma committed to play golf at Auburn. She is a wonderful talent with a very bright future."
