Q: Why did you choose to continue your soccer career at Auburn?
Contreras: I wanted to continue my journey here because I knew everyone around me would challenge me and help me reach my full potential. On top of there being super talented players on the team, the coaching staff, trainers and advisors were all extremely friendly and welcoming.

Q: What has been the highlight of your soccer career so far?
Contreras: Winning the state championship my senior year of high school. I scored and assisted in that game, so it was just a really cool way to end my high school soccer career.

Q: What is a fun fact about yourself that Auburn fans might like to know?
Contreras: A fun fact about myself is that I am Mexican and am fluent in Spanish.

Q: Do you have a favorite movie?
Contreras: Right now, it's "Black Panther: Wakanda Forever." It was such a good movie and I feel like there were so many women in the movie that had powerful and engaging roles, which I really enjoyed.

Q: Who is your favorite professional athlete?
Contreras: My favorite professional soccer player is Lionel Messi. Not only is he an amazing player, but he is very humble and is a good leader as well.

Q: Do you have any pregame rituals or superstitions?
Contreras: I usually have some pregame candy and it's typically a lollipop or some sour gummies. I also pray before every game.

Q: Who has been the biggest influence on your career?
Contreras: The person who has influenced my soccer career the most is my club coach Drew Prentice. He went above and beyond to help me improve and develop into the player and person I am today. To this day, he still influences my career because he is always willing to help me whenever I need it or have questions about soccer. I know he wants to see me succeed on and off the field.

Q: If you could go on any tv show, which would you choose?
Contreras: I would choose to go on "Hell's Kitchen," but only if I could be the judge because I would love to try a bunch of good food and get paid to do it.

Q: What advice would you give to your younger self?
Contreras: Trust the process and stay true to yourself.

Q: What is the number one song you put on to get hyped up before a game?
Contreras: "No Role Modelz" by J. Cole.

Q: What do you think you bring to the table for the team this year?
Contreras: I am very passionate, so whenever I step out onto the field, I always play with everything in me. I am a physical and dynamic player, so I can contribute to our team's competitive atmosphere. I also plan on being the best teammate I can be both on and off the field!

Q: What makes Auburn soccer special?
Contreras: What makes this program special is that it has a great team dynamic, unique culture and overall, is just an awesome environment to be in.
