AUBURN, Ala. – For the 15th time in program history, Auburn has been earned a bid into the NCAA Tennis Championships, the NCAA announced on Monday.

The No. 19 Tigers will play in the Coral Gables regional, hosted by No. 14 Miami. The four-team regional will include Auburn, Miami, Florida International and Boston.

"Earning an opportunity to play in May is the result of a tremendous amount of work," Auburn Head Coach Caroline Lilley said after the selection. "To have another competitive match ahead of us is a privilege that we will always be grateful for. We know our best tennis is still ahead of us. We are not the team we were in January, or the team we were last week, and we are hungry to remain focused on those incremental improvements."

The Tigers will play their first-round match against Florida International at 9 a.m. CT on Friday while Miami and Boston will square off at noon CT on Friday. The winners of the first-round matches will play at noon CT on Saturday in the second round.

Auburn holds a 9-5 all-time record in the first round of the NCAA Championships.

Last season, Auburn shutout Jackson State in the first round of the Auburn regional before mounting a dramatic comeback win over Georgia Tech in the second round to advance to the round of 16.
