AUBURN, Ala. – Auburn's Megan Schofill has been named second team Academic All-American, the College Sports Communicators announced on Thursday. The CSC announced Schofill as a member of their women's at-large team among division I schools.
The team includes student-athletes from across the country in sports including lacrosse, fencing, beach volleyball, water polo, rifle, gymnastics, and others.
Schofill received her undergraduate degree in communications from the Auburn College of Liberal Arts in May and finished the program with a 3.87 cumulative GPA.
The honor becomes Schofill's first from the CSC, but the Monticello, Florida native was named to the SEC Academic Honor Roll as well as an All-American Scholar by the Women's Golf Coaches Association in 2020, 2021 and 2022.
In her senior season on the Plains in 2022-23, Schofill had a memorable season and continues to make her presence felt in the Auburn record books. Schofill broke the program record for most career rounds under par during the season (43) and continues to hold the program's lowest career scoring average (72.14).
She also posted a runner-up individual finish at the 2023 SEC Championship and her 205 (-11) at the Illini Women's Invitational at Medinah in the fall tied her for the second all-time lowest 54-hole score in Auburn history and her second round 65 (-7) at the event tied the second lowest 18-hole score in program history.
The Auburn senior also earned the honors of first team All-American from the WGCA, first-team All-SEC, an invitation to the 2023 Augusta National Women's Amateur and the 2023 Arnold Palmer Cup.
