Men’s tennis prepares for 2023 ITA All-American Championships

AUBURN, Ala. – Auburn men's tennis will have participants in the 2023 ITA All-American Championships in Tulsa, Oklahoma, beginning this weekend. The event will begin with pre-qualifying singles rounds on Saturday and Sunday followed by singles and doubles qualifying rounds on Monday and Tuesday. The main draw rounds for singles and doubles will be played Wednesday through Sunday.
 
Senior Tyler Stice has qualified for the singles main draw while Raul Dobai and Alejandro Moreno will be featured in the doubles main draw. Moreno and Dobai will need to earn a spot in the singles main draw through qualifying singles beginning Monday. Will Nolan and Billy Blaydes will start the tournament in prequalifying singles starting on Saturday.
 
Stice enters the championships ranked 33rd in the nation with a 2-2 singles record this season and 65 career singles victories at Auburn. Moreno and Dobai will be making their first appearance as a doubles team since pairing up to defeat Alabama A&M's Divesh Gahlot and Amav Pathange 6-1 on April 4th. Dobai is ranked No. 4 in the nation in doubles alongside partner Finn Murgett.
 
Moreno and Dobai will enter Monday's singles qualifying rounds with records of 1-3 and 2-1, respectively.
 
Nolan and Blaydes will kick off the event for the Tigers in singles pre-qualifying on Saturday. Live streaming video and results from the event will be available at wearecollegetennis.com.
