AUBURN, Ala. - Junior Favour Ashe of the Auburn track & field team was selected as the SEC Men's Co-Runner of the Week, the league office announced Tuesday.
The Ughelli, Nigeria native finished first in the 60m at the Harvey Glance Tide & Tiger Dual Meet with a time of 6.53. In his indoor season debut, Ashe's time was just three hundredths of a second from the Auburn school mark. His time ranks No. 1 nationally and No. 2 on the current world list.
Ashe won SEC Freshman of the Week twice and SEC Outdoor Freshman Runner of the Year in 2022 at the University of Tennessee. He shares this week's award with Florida's Robert Gregory.
Ashe and the Tigers will be back in action Friday, Jan. 19, at the Vanderbilt Invitational in Nashville, Tennessee.
