AUBURN, Ala. – Auburn baseball and head coach Butch Thompson have officially signed 17 newcomers to join the program next fall.
The class, which includes 11 pitchers and six position players, has been rated as high as the No. 4 early signing class for 2024 by Perfect Game. The No. 4 ranking matched the program's previous highest-ranked class from 2017.
Highlighted by a pair of in-state pitchers and top-50 overall recruits in Connor Gatwood (No. 41) and Christian Chatterton (No. 43), Auburn's class includes 11 players ranked in the top 250 among 2024 signees, according to Perfect Game.
Eight signees are from Alabama, three are from Florida, three are from Georgia, and one apiece is from California, Mississippi and Tennessee.
