Soccer kicks off spring exhibition season

AUBURN, Ala. — Auburn soccer begins its five-match spring exhibition schedule Saturday at 1 p.m. CT, hosting the Jacksonville State Gamecocks at the Auburn Soccer Complex.
 
The match will be played in three 30-minute periods with a 10-minute break between each.The Tigers' exhibition roster features 25 active players, 22 of whom are returners. Head coach Karen Hoppa added a trio of fresh faces in rookies Rory Schank and Ayana Yapo as well as transfer Shelby Sallee

All matches at the Auburn Soccer Complex are free and welcome to the public.
 
Last fall, Jax State compiled a 6-9-2 record and scored 35 goals while conceding 29.
 
Auburn continues its spring slate Saturday, March 16 at 1 p.m. CT, welcoming South Alabama to The Plains for the final home contest of the season. For match three, the Tigers trek to Oxford, Mississippi the following weekend, Saturday, March 23, for a 1 p.m. CT bout with Ole Miss. In April, Auburn heads to the home of the reigning SEC Tournament Champions, Georgia (April 14), for a noon CT match before closing the spring with an 11 a.m. CT duel at Clemson (April 20).
