AUBURN, Ala. - Following Monday's opening round of the 2024 Tiger Invitational presented by Jason Dufner at AU Club, No. 2 Auburn men's golf shares the team lead with Elon at 10-over. Auburn's "B" team trails tightly behind, in third, at 11-over.

Three Tigers carded 1-under 71s to share the individual lead. Senior J.M. Butler, junior Brendan Valdes and freshman Jackson Koivun were the Orange & Blue's heavy hitters on the day.

To round out the "A" squad performances, Carson Bacha and Cayden Pope each shot 78 (+6) while Ryan Eshleman shot 80 (+10). On the "B" team, Josiah Gilbert turned in a top-20 worthy 75 (+3). Reed Lotter finished one stroke higher, at 76 (+4), and Alex Vogelsong took one more shot than Lotter to score a 77 (+5). Hal Dove turned in an 80 (+8) and individual player Max Johnson shot 83 (+11).

All participating teams attempted to finish a second round on Monday, but it was called due to darkness on the course before any full rounds were completed. On Tuesday, each player will pick up where they left off in round two before continuing onto the final round. Teams will not be repaired. A shotgun start is set for 9:15 a.m. CT.
