AUBURN, Ala. – The Auburn gymnastics team remains at No. 14 this week in the most recent RoadToNationals.com rankings with an NQS of 197.315.
The NQS rankings take the top six scores, dropping the highest before adding the next five and finding the average. Three of the five scores added together must be on the road.
Oklahoma continues to hold No. 1 with a 198.475. California is back to No. 2 at 198.180, while LSU (198.125), Florida (197.905), and Utah (197.840) round out the top five. The rest of the Southeastern Conference is among the top 20 – Kentucky (No. 6), Alabama (No. 7), Arkansas (No. 12), Missouri (No. 13), and Georgia (No. 18).
Auburn's beam team remains seventh nationally with an NQS of 49.420. The floor squad is 16th at 49.470, while vault is 17th at 49.240. The bars team is 19th with an NQS of 49.270.
Individually, fifth-year Cassie Stevens jumped to 14th nationally with a 39.590 in the all-around, while also tying at 17th on vault (9.910) and 26th on beam (9.915).
Senior Olivia Hollingsworth holds the No. 31 spot in the all-around with a 39.415. She's also among the nation's top 50 in floor and is tied for No. 43 (9.915).
Senior Gabby McLaughlin is tied for 24th on beam with a 9.920 and junior Sophia Groth is tied for the No. 35 spot with a 9.905.
Auburn kicks off the postseason this Saturday, traveling to New Orleans for the 2024 SEC Championships. The two-session meet will be held in the Smoothie King Center and Auburn will be the No. 7 seed. The Tigers will compete in the afternoon session beginning at 2:30 p.m. CT and will face off with Arkansas, Missouri and Georgia. The championship will be televised on SEC Network.
