AUBURN, Ala. – Three student-athletes on the No. 5 Auburn equestrian team earned SEC Rider of the Month recognition for March, the Southeastern Conference announced Thursday.
 
Senior Kate Buchanan added SEC Reining Rider of the Month to her NCEA recognition announced Wednesday. Freshman Avery Glynn was recognized for Fences, while fifth year Ava Stearns earned the honor for Flat.
 
Buchanan finished the regular season with a 2-0-0 record in Reining, earning back-to-back wins in her final meets on the Plains. She bested her No. 3 SMU (March 2) opponent by .75 points with a 71.25 and followed with a 71 vs. No. 2 Texas A&M (March 9), winning by 11.25 points to take MOP.
 
Glynn, a freshman from Petaluma, California, put together a 3-0-0 mark to finish the regular season in Fences. She kicked off the month with an 87.5-85.5 win over SMU's Augusta Iwasaki. Glynn followed with an 80-56 victory over College of Charleston before ending the Month with an 83.5 to best her Texas A&M opponent by 7.5 points.
 
Stearns picked up monthly honors in Flat, finishing 2-0-0 in the event with an MOP. She kicked off the month with an 86-81 win over SMU and earned MOP for the Tigers. Stearns capped the regular season with a big win over Texas A&M, besting her opponent by 2.5 points with an 85.5.
 
Auburn will kick off the postseason at the 2024 SEC Championship in Bryan-College Station, Texas, March 29-30. The Tigers will be the No. 3 seed and will take on No. 2 seed Georgia at the Hildebrand Equine Complex.
