AUBURN, Ala. – No. 2 Auburn men's golf looks to make it three straight tournament titles this week with two teams headed to compete in the Seahawk Intercollegiate March 24-25 at the Country Club of Landfall in Wilmington, North Carolina.

"We're thrilled about having the chance to play two teams and get 10 guys some valuable tournament experience this week," Tigers head coach Nick Clinard said. "This is really the last chance for our guys to prove that they belong in our top six for the postseason. We're expecting lots of grit and competitiveness because each of them are hungry to help this team achieve greatness when there are championships on the line."

Auburn's "A" team consists of senior J.M. Butler, redshirt juniors Carson Bacha and Ryan Eshleman, junior Brendan Valdes and freshman Jackson Koivun.

A 7:30 a.m. CT shotgun start will commence Sunday's 36 holes of play. Auburn "A" will compete in foursomes alongside VCU and tee off from the first two holes.

For the "B" group, it'll be graduate student Hal Dove, fifth year Alex Vogelsong, sophomore Reed Lotter and freshmen Josiah Gilbert and Cayden Pope.

That team will tee off on holes 16-17 and play in foursomes with other golfers from VCU, Duke and Minesota.

The complete field of competitors at the Seahawk Intercollegiate is made up of host UNC Wilmington, No. 2 Auburn, Arkansas State, Campbell, Davidson, No. 25 Duke, FAU, Jacksonville, James Madison, Maryland, Minnesota, Penn State, VCU, Virginia Tech, Stetson, ULM and Wright State.

Last time out, at Auburn's own Tiger Invitational, the Orange & Blue grinded out its fifth team win of the season, tying the program record first set in 1997. Butler blazed his way through the field to earn medalist honors for the second time in his career. He became just the 11th Tiger to earn multiple individual wins.

Koivun, Valdes and Bacha also earned top-10 placements and were all named to the event's all-tournament team.
