AUBURN, Ala. – Auburn women's basketball senior Taylen Collins was named to the College Sports Communicators' Academic All-District team, the organization announced Tuesday.
Collins, a senior from Muldrow, Okla., started all 32 games for the Tigers this season. She was Auburn's leading rebounder with 6.3 boards per game, and she averaged 7.9 points per game to rank third on the team.
She is scheduled to graduate from Auburn in August with a degree in business marketing. Collins is Auburn's third women's basketball selection to the Academic All-District team and first since 2017.
To be eligible for the CSC Academic All-District Team, student-athletes must be at least a sophomore academically, have a cumulative grade point average of 3.50 or higher, and have participated in at least 90 percent of the team's contests during the season.
The CSC Academic All-District Women's Basketball teams, selected by College Sports Communicators, recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the court and in the classroom.
