BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – After leading the Tigers to a third-straight win Monday at the Seahawk Intercollegiate, Auburn men's golfer Jackson Koivun was once again recognized as one of the Southeastern Conference's top performers of the week, the league office announced Wednesday.
Koivun earned the nod as SEC Freshman of the Week for a fourth time this season. He has now been recognized a total of seven times.
Last time out, at the Seahawk Intercollegiate, Koivun fired a 6-under 210 by way of a 72-70-68 performance. He finished second. It was his fourth consecutive top-two finish and his seventh consecutive in the top five.
He was the low man in Auburn's record-setting sixth team title of the year. The previous record of five wins was originally over the 1996-97 season.
Koivun and company return to the links April 15-16 at the Mossy Oak Collegiate hosted by Mossy Oak Golf Club West Point, Mississippi.
