Stevens, Huff earn All-SEC recognition

AUBURN, Ala. – Two members of the No. 14 Auburn gymnastics team were recognized by the Southeastern Conference Wednesday as fifth year Cassie Stevens and freshman Julianne Huff earned All-SEC recognition for their efforts at the 2024 SEC Championships.
 
"We are so proud of Cassie and Julianne," head coach Jeff Graba said. "Being in the toughest conference in the country can be challenging to say the least. However, these two have stood up and performed at such a level that they have been named to the most exclusive listing in the sport."
 
Stevens, of Phoenix, Arizona, secured All-SEC in both the all-around and vault for the second-consecutive year. She finished tied for first on vault in the afternoon session, earning a 9.9. She scored a 39.5 in the all-around at the end of the session, earning a pair of 9.9s and 9.85s.
 
Huff, of Hoover, Alabama, earned the first conference awards of her career as she picked up All-SEC and SEC All-Freshman honors. She tied Stevens on vault with a 9.9, while leading the Tigers and all freshmen in the afternoon session on floor, tying a career high with a 9.875.
 
The Tigers return to action next week, heading to the West Coast for the 2024 NCAA Berkeley Regional. Auburn will compete in the night session, April 5, as the fourth seed and will look to advance to the Sweet Sixteen, April 7. The three-day regional will be held in Haas Pavilion on Cal's campus.
