Cassie Stevens earns WCGA All-America honors

AUBURN, Ala. – Fifth year Cassie Stevens of the No. 14 Auburn gymnastics team added to her list of honors and was named a regular season All-American, the Women's Collegiate Gymnastics Association (WCGA) announced Thursday.
 
Stevens secured Second Team All-America recognition for her performances in the all-around this season.
 
Student-athletes with the top eight National Qualifying Scores (NQS) for the regular season earned first team honors, while second team went to student-athletes ranked Nos. 9-16.
 
Stevens picked up the first All-America honor of her career in the all-around, finishing with a 39.595 NQS. That score finished 14th nationally.
 
The Phoenix, Arizona native won five all-around titles during the regular season and reached a career-high 39.700 in Auburn's win over Alabama on February 9. She scored a 39.55 or higher six times in the all-around, competing in all four events every meet this season.
