Auburn co-head cheerleader, Daniel Martin, has been selected as a member of the 2024 E. Lynn Harris All-SEC Spirit Team. Martin was recognized at the 2024 Men's SEC Basketball Tournament in Nashville, Tennessee, at Auburn's first game vs. South Carolina.
The team is comprised of a representative from each of the SEC schools in honor of former Arkansas cheerleader and longtime volunteer coach E. Lynn Harris. Selections to the E. Lynn Harris All-SEC Spirit Team recognize spirit squad members for their academic success, philanthropic dedication and overall representation of their university.
Martin is a graduate student from Fyffe, Alabama, majoring in Exercise Performance and Health Optimization. He graduated last spring with bachelor's degrees in Nutrition-Dietetics and Kinesiology. He is the son of Greg and Tammy and in his third year on the squad.
"Daniel is in his third year on our squad and his second year as our male co-head. He is the perfect example of what an Auburn cheerleader should be," said Latisha Durroh, Director of Community Relations and Spirit with AU Athletics. "He is dependable, a hard worker, a great leader and a role model. It's been an honor to have him on our squad these last three years. He's done an outstanding job and will be extremely difficult to replace next year."
