AUBURN, Ala. – The first day of the Valspar Invitational at Forest Hills Golf Club in Augusta, Georgia, has been moved up one day to Friday due to expected inclement weather on Saturday. The second day of the event will take place on Sunday as originally scheduled.

"The practice round will be the most important day because none of us have seen the golf course," said Auburn head coach Melissa Luellen. "We'll be charting the course and coming up with a game plan that gives us the highest probability of going out and playing great the first day. As coaches, we have to be up ahead seeing how certain holes are playing and be able to make adjustments on the fly during the round too."

The Tigers, who finished playing the Darius Rucker Intercollegiate in Hilton Head, South Carolina, on Wednesday, will tee it up for another 54-holes on Friday and Sunday. Auburn finished third in the field of 17 teams at the Darius Rucker and finished ahead of five schools ranked inside the nation's top-10 including No. 1 Wake Forest.

Redshirt sophomore Casey Weidenfeld recorded her third top-10 individual finish of the season at the event after firing a 3-under 210 and placing sixth. Freshman Anna Davis also finished inside the top-10 in a tie for ninth, which is her best finish in the three events she has played for the Tigers.

The 12th ranked Tigers will be faced with another challenging field that includes top-ranked Wake Forest, No. 5 South Carolina, No. 14 Ole Miss and No. 16 Clemson.

A shotgun start will begin the first day at 9:30 a.m. CT at Forest Hill Golf Club on Friday and the field will play as many holes as possible, then play the remainder on Sunday. Live scoring of the tournament will be available online at Golfstat.com and the GolfStat mobile app.
