AUBURN, Ala. – Auburn freshman Anna Davis has been named SEC Co-Freshman of the Week, the conference announced on Wednesday. Davis earned the honor after leading the Tigers to an 11-stroke victory at the Liz Murphey Collegiate Classic on Friday and Saturday.

The Auburn freshman had her best finish of the season in a tie for second place at 3-under (213). During the second round on day one, Davis recorded six birdies and shot 4-under (68). The score matched her lowest round of the spring.

Davis began the third round in seventh place individually and fired a 2-under 70 to finish the event in a tie for second place. Her final round was highlighted by birdies on three of her final four holes of the day.

Davis finished second in the field in par-4 scoring over the three rounds at 3-under and recorded 12 birdies, which was just one shy of the most in the field.

Through her five tournaments on The Plains this season, Davis has a 72.20 scoring average and has posted two top-10 individual finishes at the Darius Rucker Intercollegiate and the Liz Murphey.

The Spring Valley, California native is competing in the Augusta National Women's Amateur this week, an event she won in 2022, before the Tigers begin postseason play at the SEC Championship on April 12.
