EVANS, Ga. – Auburn sophomore Casey Weidenfeld will be one of the 35 players participating in the final round of the Augusta National Women's Amateur after making the 36-hole cut on Thursday. Weidenfeld shot even-par (72) in both rounds at Champions Retreat Golf Club and is in a tie for 13th place on the leaderboard.

"I came into the tournament hoping to make the cut and just seeing where it goes, especially it being my first time out here," Weidenfeld said after her second round. "It's kind of surreal right now. The wind was really brutal out there today, but I hit some good shots and had some good looks. With the wind, you back off every putt because it's just swirling."

During round one, Weidenfeld carded three birdies including her final hole of the day, No. 9. In the second round at Champions Retreat, the Auburn redshirt sophomore started her back nine with a birdie and remained at 1-under until her bogey on No. 16. Weidenfeld was one of just nine players in the field to post a round of par or better on Thursday.

The Pembroke Pines, Florida native has made the cut in her first appearance at the ANWA and becomes the third Tiger to make it to the final round of the event after Kaleigh Telfer made the cut in 2019 and 2021 as well as Megan Schofill in 2023.

Schofill and freshman Anna Davis also participated in the tournament, but failed to make the 36-hole cut.

All participants will have the ability to take part in a practice round at Augusta National Golf Club on Friday and the final round of the tournament will take place at Augusta National Golf Club on Saturday. Weidenfeld is scheduled to tee off the final round at 8:20 a.m. CT paired with Megha Ganne of Stanford.

Provided she remain an amateur, the 2024 Augusta National Women's Amateur Champion will receive an invitation to the next five Augusta National Women's Amateurs, the 2024 U.S. Women's Open, the 2024 Women's Open, the 2024 Chevron Championship, the 2024 Evian Championship and any USGA, R&A and PGA of America amateur championships for which she is eligible for one year.

NBC Sports will produce and broadcast three hours of live final-round coverage of the event from 11 a.m.-2 p.m. CT. Live scoring of the tournament will also be available online at anwagolf.com.
